Perhaps for many of you reading or hearing the Russian name Khabib Allakhverdiev doesn’t say much, and you would have to search online the peculiar name to get the reference.

However, nowadays Khabib is shaping up to be a solid champion, with many resources, Southpaw and that is still undefeated after 19 Professional fights, nine of them won by KO.

Rapid movements, and effective cross punches that put that put his opponents in trouble, this Russian does his work without much noise, and perhaps even unnoticed.

Intelligent, knows how to get out of trouble, and throws punches when he knows his prey is hurt.

He won the black and gold super lightweight belt on November 30, 2012, when he defeated Dominican Joan Guzman, and defended it for the first time on June 17, 2013.

This Saturday will make his second defense in Las Vegas against Jessie Vargas, who is undefeated in 23 fights with 9 KO’s. This is the first title opportunity for Californian Boxer.

This is the perfect time for Khabib to be known not only in the US but worldwide, to be because he will be fighting in the undercard of the second battle between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley.

Everything indicates that Allakhverdiev is the favorite to win the fight, however, Vargas “the new generation” seems like a great opponent.
Undoubtedly, this should be an interesting fight that should leave everyone in the main fight mood.

Before Allakhverdiev vs Vargas, there will be another WBA fight on the line, the super featherweight interim title in the hands of the Costa Rican Bryan Vásquez who will defend before the Mexican José Félix Jr.

This is the second time Vasquez holds a WBA title, and assures that this will be a long reign. A few days ago, he said he will win on Saturday and knows that his opponent doesn’t punch.

The Aztecs answered that they wills see to that on the ring, because Vasquez may have dreamt that.

Vasquez is known for being an insistent fighter, without being a phenomenon, he does an impeccable job on the ring that allows him to show. For his part Felix Jr, as good Mexican, is a warrior who does not back up and always looks for the combat.

Two WBA title fights that will surely be among the best of the night, and I hope everyone can enjoy them, and may the best boxers win.
