WBA Superwelterweight champion Austin Trout, and former champion, Miguel Cotto, both self-confident on winning December 1st Satudary night fight in New York.

Trout, a young champ who is undefeated in 25 fights, has no fear on facing a great boxers, as he pointed out of Cotto. " He is a great boxer, warrior, awkward, very difficult, as seen in all his fights." admits after being ask of his opponent.

Cotto says Trout is a young fighter with talent "but I have not study him, I don´t know him and would be lying if I say something different. Let´s wait to see what he can do in the ring."

Both await a complicated, hard and close bout. Cotto said "it shall be constant exchange and expects to once again become a WBA champion, while Trout insists in retaining his belt, and take this opportunity to introduce Trout and launch his career".

Cotto assured defeat is not an option, on the result, he doesn´t have a plan the just win. No worries or talks about a lost or retirement, simply says "I will win for Puerto Rico and me".

For Trout, who draws a smile thinking about it, a victory over Cotto would mean everything. "Many will know me after the bout and I believe it will end by knockout to my favor. It is possible Cotto will think on retiring after all this."

Cotto confía en que ganará y Trout que vencerá a un grande

El campeón súper welter de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo, Austin Trout, y el ex monarca boricua, Miguel Cotto, confían en que ganarán el combate que sostendrán ambos este sábado 1 de diciembre, en Nueva York.

Trout, un joven campeón que se mantiene invicto tras 25 peleas, no tiene miedo de encarar a un gran boxeador, como él mismo calificó a Cotto. “Es un gran boxeador, aguerrido, complicado, muy difícil, por lo menos así siempre ha sido en todas sus peleas”, confiesa al consultarle por su rival.

Cotto dice que Trout es un joven con talento, “pero no lo he estudiado, no lo conozco y mentiría sí digo lo contrario. Esperemos a ver lo que puede hacer en el ring”.

Ambos dicen que la pelea la esperan complicada, dura y cerrada. Cotto dijo que debe ser un intercambio constante y espera convertirse nuevamente en campeón de la AMB, mientras que Trout insiste en retener su faja “porque ser campeón ha sido un sueño hecho realidad, y la AMB me dio esa oportunidad de lograrlo. Han sido un organismo muy amigo, y me gusta formar parte de él, quiero retener mi cinturón y aprovechar esta oportunidad para que todos conozcan a Trout y despegar mi carrera”.

Cotto aseguró que no tiene la derrota como una posibilidad, en cuanto a resultado, y no tiene planteado nada más que ganar. No se plantea ni habla de una posible caída o un retiro , simplemente dice que “ganaré por  Puerto Rico y por mí”.

Para Trout, quien esboza una sonrisa de solo pensarlo, ganarle a Cotto significaría mucho. “Muchos me conocerán a partir de esta pelea, y creo que se acabará por nocaut a mi favor. Es posible que Cotto comience a pensar en el retiro después de esto”.
