WBA Press. November 2. The last day of the 91st Annual Convention of the World Boxing Association Committees presented their final reports.
The event that brought together more than 30 nationalities and registered almost 200 people concluded this Friday in Jakarta.
In the morning were presented the reports of the regions, legal committee, Championships Committee, Ratings Committee, International Officials, Medical Advisory Committee, Treasury and budget.
Each committee made an analysis of the work done since the last convention held in Ukraine and made proposals to improve the results in the coming months.
For example, Aurelio Fiengo, vice-chairman of the Championships Committee announced that the fights for titles, made during these 10 months, were 72 matches. She also commented that a format would be designed so that the promoters submit the formal request for a world title fight.
Among the recommendations made by the Committee, is to urge the promoter to send the officials tickets so that they arrive to the site of the fight three days before the fight.
On the other hand, the President of the Ratings Committee, Miguel Prado, said that the new ranking format has been well accepted by the public.
He said that statistics by continents were resumed and that they are making a data bank to improve communications with promoter and members of the WBA directory to send the rankings within 24 hours after finished.
Prado said, "This is possible thanks to the teamwork. We make several drafts, we consult the Committee members so that when you see the ranking it the best possible." In the future, we have planned to review the Rating Manual. "We will make a survey, and get the amendments that would be positive to these guidelines of norms and procedures for ratings".
The legal side announced the written presentation of their proposals, which meet the needs of the past months, without altering or violating the regulations of the WBA.
Doctor Calvin Inalsingh that after having worked for boxing and for the welfare of the WBA boxers, who are the stars of every fight and so they should be treated.

Termina el trabajo en la 91° Convención Anual
Prensa AMB. 2 de noviembre.- Los diferentes Comités de trabajo de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo rindieron sus informes finales en la fecha de cierre de la 91° Convención Anual que se realiza en Indonesia.
El evento que reunió a más de 30 nacionalidades y casi 200 personas registradas, concluye este viernes en Yakarta.
En la sesión matutina se presentaron los informes de las regiones, legal, campeonatos, oficiales, clasificaciones, médico, tesorería y presupuesto.
Cada uno hizo su balance del año de trabajo, desde la pasada Convención de Ucrania, y realizaron propuestas para mejorar los resultados en los próximos meses.
Por ejemplo, Aurelio Fiengo, el presidente del Comité de Campeonatos anunció que las peleas por títulos, realizadas durante estos 10 meses, fueron 72 combates. También comentó que se diseñará un formato para que las promotoras presenten la solicitud formal de una pelea de título mundial.
Entre las recomendaciones realizadas por el Comité, está el de proponer a la AMB que se exija a la empresa promotora trasladar a los oficiales con tiempo, para que estén tres días antes de la pelea.
Por su parte, el Presidente del Comité de Clasificaciones, Miguel Prado, dijo que la nueva presentación del ranking ha tenido una excelente acogida por los usuarios.
Comentó que se retomaron las estadísticas por continentes y se comenzó a realizar un banco de datos para mejorar las comunicaciones con promotores y los miembros de directorio de la AMB para enviar en 24 horas los rankings después de terminado.
Comentó Prado que: “Ha sido un trabajo en equipo, hacemos varios borradores consultados por los miembros del Comité y que cuando se vea el ranking sea lo mejor posible. A futuro nos hemos planteado revisar el manual de clasificaciones. Nos estamos preparando en hacer las consultas respectivas, y conseguir las modificaciones que serían positivas para este manual de normas y procedimientos para las clasificaciones”.
“Queremos adquirir también como compromiso contestar todas los reclamos que se presenten por las clasificaciones. Queremos también crear un ranking en espera, y confeccionar un formato que incluya a cada boxeador con sus datos actualizados, el cual esperamos que cuando esté listo, aparezca en la página Web para uso de quien lo necesite”, detalló Prado.
La parte legal anunció la presentación escrita de sus propuestas, que responden a las necesidades vistas durante los últimos meses, sin alterar ni violar los reglamentos de la AMB.
Por su parte, el Doctor Calvin Inalsingh aseguró que lo más importante durante este tiempo es el haber trabajado para que el boxeo y los boxeadores de la AMB sean protegidos, siendo vistos como las estrellas de cada pelea por lo que deben ser atendidos.
