WBA Press. February 24.- World Boxing Association Super champion of the 154-pound division, Floyd Mayweather Jr is celebrating his birthday today, and on behalf of the WBA family we send him our warmest greetings and our best wishes of success.
Mayweather became super champion on May 5, 2012, when he defeated the Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto by unanimous decision, in Las Vegas. Since then, the Mayweather has not been active; however, so far he is undefeated in 43 fights, 26 of them by knockout.
Mayweather who is known as “Pretty Boy” and “Money”, was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1977, and began boxing at a very early age led by the hand of his father, Floy Mayweather Sr.
He was part of the United States Olympic team, and was a Semifinalist in the 1996 Atlanta games. In total, during his amateur boxing career, Mayweather Jr added 84 victories with 6 losses. Ten years later, he jumped to professional debuting in October 1986.
He has been the star in various controversies, both in and outside the ring, but undoubtedly he is an excellent athlete, loved by fans and everyday he shows he is an example of talents and ability to manage his business.
The boxing world must learn something from him, and it is that any Boxer can invest his money and be the owner of his future.

Prensa AMB. 24 de febrero.-El súper campeón de las 154 libras de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo, Floyd Mayweather Jr está hoy de cumpleaños, oportunidad que aprovechamos para enviar el más caluroso saludo y deseos de éxitos a nombre de toda la Familia AMB, a la cual pertenece.
Mayweather se convirtió en súper campeón el pasado 5 de mayo de 2012, cuando venció por decisión unánime al boricua Miguel Cotto, en una pelea realizada en Las Vegas.
Desde entonces, el púgil no ha tenido actividad competitiva, y hasta el momento cuenta con 43 triunfos, de ellos 26 por la vía rápida y no conoce la derrota.
Conocido por los apodos de "Chico Bello" y "Dinero", el boxeador nació en Grand Rapids, Michigan en 1977, y se inició desde muy joven en la disciplina deportiva, llevado de la mano de su padre, Floy Mayweather Sr.
Formó parte de la selección olímpica de Estados Unidos, y fue semifinalista de los Juegos de Atlanta 1996. En total, durante su paso por el aficionado, Mayweather Jr sumó 84 victorias con 6 derrotas. Diez años después, saltó al profesional y debutó en octubre de 1986.
Ha protagonizado diferentes controversias, tanto fuera como dentro del ring, pero sigue siendo un excelente atleta, querido por los aficionados y que cada día demuestra es un ejemplo de talento y de capacidad de manejar sus negocios.
Sí algo debe aprender el mundo boxístico de él, es que cualquier púgil puede invertir su dinero y convertirse en dueño de su porvenir.
