This will be his tenth period leading the organization

WBA Press. Gilberto Mendoza was re-elected as President of the World Boxing Association during the first plenary session of the 91st Annual Convention held in Jakarta, Indonesia, ending on November 3.

Mendoza will be leading the WBA for the period 2012-2016. “I want to thank everyone for this new vote of confidence. We still have much work to do, and things to innovate, most importantly, to keep on doing it together. "At the next plenary I will announce the team that will be working with me during this new period".

This would be the ninth re-election of Mendoza as WBA President, and his tenth term as the maximum leader of the organization.

El Dr. Gilberto Mendoza fue reelegido como Presidente de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo, durante la primera sesión de plenaria de la 91 Convención Anual que se realiza en Yakarta, Indonesia hasta el próximo 3 de noviembre.

Mendoza estará al frente del ente durante un nuevo período que abarcará del 2012 al 2016. “Quiero agradecer a todos por este nuevo voto de confianza. Todavía tenemos mucho trabajo por realizar, y cosas por innovar. Lo más importante es seguir haciéndolo juntos. En la próxima sesión les anunciaré el equipo que estará acompañándome durante este nuevo período”.

Para Mendoza esta es su novena reelección como Presidente de la AMB, y su décimo período como máximo jerarca del ente
