Vacant WBA Inter-Continental Heavyweight title.

Former two-division world champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KOs) scored a spectacular fifth round KO over recent heavyweight title challenger Dereck Chisora (15-4, 9 KOs) on Saturday night on West Ham Football Club’s Boleyn Ground at Upton Park in London. Haye was much busier than Chisora, who was unable to connect with wild shots. Good exchange at the end of round three. Good right by Haye in round five dropped Chisora. Haye dropped him again with his follow-up barrage and the bout was waved off by referee Luis Pabon. Time was 2:59. Very impressive win for Haye as Vitali Klitschko, Robert Helinius and Tyson Fury all failed to stop Chisora in his previous losses. After the fight the fighters hugged and showed respect.

“I’d be very surprised if Vitali Klitschko would want to fight me now after seeing the performance I put on tonight,” said Haye after the fight. “I guarantee he’s going to fight some chump no one’s ever heard of and then try and retire and become a politician or something, but if he wants to give the world a great fight — I’m here!”

David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) ex campeón mundial en dos divisiones se anotó un espectacular KO contra el retador Dereck Chisora (15-4, 9 KO’s) el pasado sábado por la noche en el West Ham Football Club’s Boleyn Ground en el Upton Park de London. Haye estuvo mucho más ocupado que Chisora quien pudo conectar algunos golpes salvajes. Hubo un buen intercambio de golpes al final del round 3. Luego, Haye derribó a Chisora en el 5 con un excelente derechazo, y lo vuelve a derribar con un fuerte bombardeo haciendo que el arbitro Luis Pabon detuvo el combate a los 2.59. Este fue un triunfo impresionante para Haye ya que ni Vitali Klitschko, Robert Helinius o Tyson Fury pudieron detener a Chisora en sus derrotas anteriores. Luego de la pelea, ambos peleadores se abrazaron y se mostraron respeto. 

“Me sorprendería mucho que Vitali Klitschko quisiera pelear conmigo despues de mi actuación de esta noche.” Les garantizo que el peleará con cualquier tonto desconocido y luego se retirará para ser Carrera política o algo así, pero si él de verdad quiere darle al mundo una gran pelea, Yo estoy aquí!!”
