WBA press. March 02. The World Boxing Association congratulates the Panamanian former Champion, Eusebio Pedroza, and the International Official Raúl Caíz Sr, who are both celebrating birthday.
Pedroza, known as “El Alacrán” was born in Panama City, on March 2, 1956, is celebrating his 57th birthday.
He debuted in professional boxing at the age of 17. Three years later, he got a shot for the WBA before Alfonso Zamora in México.
In 1978, Pedroza won the Featherweight title and kept it until June 1985 when lost it with the Irishman Barry McGuigan. During that time, Pedroza defended his black and gold title 21 times.
Pedroza hung gloves in 1992, with 41 victories, 6 defeats, one draw and 25 KO’s.
Pedroza has alwys been an example of sportsmanship, as well as human being.
The WBA family congratulates this WBA champion and acknowledges his loyalty to our organization.

Congratulations Raul Caiz, Sr.
Raul Caiz Sr, who is highly known in the boxing world for his performance and his all WBA international official family, is celebrating his 60th birthday.
He is the father of Sergio, Raúl Jr and Carla Caíz, all of them WBA family.
Caíz Sr has refered almost 300 fights and at least one hundred title fights.
An attentive and simple man, Caiz has always met his responsibilities in and out the ring; besides being part of the AMB family, so we wish him the best in this speial day.

Feliz cumpleaños a Eusebio Pedroza y Raúl Caíz Sr
Prensa AMB. 02 de marzo.- La Asociación Mundial de Boxeo desea enviar un afectuoso saludo y felicitación al panameño, ex campeón, Eusebio Pedroza, e igualmente al oficial Raúl Caíz Sr, quienes hoy están de cumpleaños.
Conocido como “El Alacrán” Pedroza nació en Ciudad de Panamá el 2 de marzo de 1956, y llega a 57 años de edad.
Debutó en el boxeo profesional a los 17 años. Tres años después tenía su primera oportunidad de disputar un cetro mundial, con la AMB, pero perdió ante Alfonso Zamora en México.
En1978 consiguió su segundo chance, esta vez con mejor suerte y se adueñó del título pluma que mantuvo hasta junio de 1985 cuando perdió con el irlandés Barry McGuigan. Durante ese tiempo, Pedroza disputó 21 peleas en las cuales puso en juego su faja negro y oro.
Pedroza colgó los guantes en 1992, con un total de 41 victorias, 25 de ellas por nocaut, con seis derrotas y un empate.
Pedroza siempre ha sido un ejemplo como deportista, además de un excelente ser humano.
La Familia de la AMB una vez más felicita a quien fuera un sólido campeón de estas filas, y aprovecha la oportunidad de agradecer su lealtad siempre demostrada al ente.

Por su parte, Caíz Sr cumple 60 años, y es ampliamente conocido en el mundo boxístico no sólo por su desempeño sino por ser el patriarca de una familia de oficiales que militan en el pugilismo profesional.
Padre de Sergio, Raúl Jr y Carla Caíz, todos siempre amigos de la Familia de la AMB.
Caíz Sr cuenta con casi 300 peleas en su récord como árbitro, y por lo menos un centenar de esas peleas han sido combates de títulos mundiales.
Siempre atento y sencillo, Caíz ha cumplido con sus responsabilidades dentro y fuera del ring, además de ser parte de la Familia AMB, por lo que le deseamos lo mejor en su día.
