WBA Press. February 29. The family of the World Boxing Association wishes to congratulate German promoter Wilfried Sauerland, who celebrates his 73 birthday.

The funny thing is that this year is not a leap, and therefore, the powerful German could celebrate his birthday either on 28 February or today, March 1. Counting his birthday every four years, on February 29, Sauerland would be only 19.

He was born on February 29, 1940 in Wuppertal, Germany, and has been an allied and a strong man in his country and the European continent. 

He has always been connected with important figures, besides having the priviledge to be the promoter with the highest number of boxing events staged in his country through Boxstalls Sauerland Event.

The Hall of famer Wilfred Sauerland is a faithful friend of the WBA.

Congratulations to Sauerland, and we hope he keeps on harvesting success, and may his alliance with the WBA family continue.

La Familia de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo desea felicitar, por su cumpleaños, al promotor alemán Wilfried Sauerland, quien arriba hoy a los 73 años de edad.

Lo curioso es que este año no es bisiesto, y por lo tanto, el poderoso alemán pudo celebrar su cumpleaños el día 28 de febrero o hacerlo hoy, 1 de marzo. Eso quiere decir, que contando sólo sus cumpleaños el día 29 de febrero, Sauerland estaría cumpliendo 19 años.

Nacido el 29 de febrero de 1940 en la Wuppertal, Alemania, ha sido un aliado y hombre fuerte del boxeo en su país, y el resto del continente europeo.

Siempre vinculado con grandes figuras, además de tener el privilegio de ser el promotor con mayor cantidad de eventos en su país a través de Boxstalls Sauerland Event.

Además, amigo fiel de la AMB, es integrante del Salón de la Fama del Boxeo Internacional.
