This afternoon in the restaurant La Posta in Panama, the World Boxing Association celebrated the journalist day with writers, photographers and specialized boxing journalists.

During the event, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, WBA Vice President shared some time with former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (CUB) together with his Manager Tony Gonzalez.

It was a very relaxing moment with a lot of anecdotes, experiences and many boxing stories among the friendly attendants.

Thus the AMB paid tribute to the journalists and stressed the importance of the press and expressed appreciation for their support to boxing.

Gamboa greeted the journalists and thanked the WBA for everything. He said that it was a nice activity that others should emulate. He also took the opportunity to confirm his participation in the KO Drugs 5k and 10k walk / run organized by the WBA for Sunday morning at the Cinta Costera of Panama. "I will be there supporting this noble cause which this year supports the fight against breast cancer" concluded the Cuban.

AMB celebra el día del periodista en Panamá junto a Yuriorkis Gamboa

Esta tarde en el Restaurante La Posta de Ciudad Panamá, la Asociación Mundial del Boxeo (AMB) celebró el día del periodista en Panamá en compañía de cronistas, fotógrafos y periodistas especializados en boxeo.

Durante el agasajo estuvo presente el Vice Presidente de la AMB, Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, y el invicto ex campeón mundial Yuriorkis Gamboa (CUB) en compañía de su manejador Tony González.

Entre un ambiente de camaradería las anécdotas, experiencia y mucha historia de combates fue lo predominante de las conversaciones.

De este modo la AMB rindió homenaje y recalcó la importancia de la prensa y agradeció el apoyo que se le da al boxeo.

Gamboa saludó a los periodistas y agradeció a la AMB por todo. Expresó que era una bonita actividad que otros deberían imitar. También aprovechó para confirmar su asistencia en la carrera-caminata del KO a las Drogas que organiza la AMB este domingo en la Cinta Costera de Ciudad Panamá. "Ahí estaré presente apoyando esta noble causa que este año apoya la lucha contra el cáncer de mamas." Expresó el cubano.
